STORRS, Conn. (UConn) - Andrew Hurley, the son of UConn men's basketball coach Dan Hurley, scored his 1,000th career point on Thursday night in a win over Temple. The sophomore guard reached the milestone on a layup with 12:34 remaining in the second half. Hurley is the first player to reach 1,000 points under coach Dan Hurley, who is in his fourth season at UConn.

Hurley has been a key contributor for the Huskies this season, averaging 11.5 points per game. He is also shooting 43.5% from the field and 39.2% from three-point range. The Huskies are currently 16-7 overall and 8-4 in the Big East.
